PEI’s Dreamiest Fall Dinner Is A Seven-Course Harvest Feast

If your perfect fall getaway involves incredible food, local ingredients and an evening spent around the fire, one of Prince Edward Island’s most famous inns is hosting a pretty incredible dining experience this fall.

The Inn at Bay Fortune is bringing back its Chefs’ Harvest Dining Series for four weekends from October 15 through November 7, 2026.

Each weekend, a different chef takes over the menu and creates a personal seven-course tasting experience inspired by PEI’s fall harvest.

And dinner is only part of the experience.

Each Weekend Has A Different Seven-Course Menu

The centrepiece of the evening is called The Seven, a seven-course tasting menu created by a different chef each weekend.

The menus are inspired by each chef’s own culinary style and story while highlighting ingredients harvested from the Inn’s Culinary Farm and around Prince Edward Island.

The 2026 lineup includes:

October 15–17: Chef Jason Mullin

October 22–24: Head Chef Matt Pigeon

October 29–31: Sous Chef Mackenzie Brown

November 5–7: Chef Michael Smith

That means you could technically visit more than once and have a completely different experience.

The Experience Starts Before Dinner

This isn’t your typical restaurant reservation where you arrive, sit down and order dinner.

The evening includes interactive chef sessions where guests can meet the culinary team, hear about the inspiration behind the food and try chef-created tastings.

There’s also an experimental workshop around the fire featuring creative bites before the seven-course dinner begins.

After dinner, guests can finish the night at the Inn’s Fire Bar.

You Can Turn It Into An Entire Fall Culinary Getaway

For anyone wanting to make a weekend out of it, the Inn also offers an overnight culinary retreat.

Overnight guests can wake up to a gourmet fire-cooked breakfast before heading outside for a guided foraging adventure around the property.

The walk explores some of the wild ingredients used by the Inn and gives guests a closer look at its farm-driven approach to food.

Between the fall scenery, farm, seven-course dinner and morning foraging adventure, it’s basically an entire PEI getaway built around food.

The Final Weekend Is Led By Chef Michael Smith

The last weekend of the series has an especially interesting theme.

From November 5–7, Chef Michael Smith will revisit dishes and ideas from his time as executive chef at The Inn at Bay Fortune during the 1990s, reimagining them using the Inn and Culinary Farm of today.

Smith and his wife Chastity purchased the Inn in 2015 and have since transformed the property into one of PEI’s best-known culinary destinations.

There Are Only 55 Seats Each Night

The Chefs’ Harvest experience is intentionally kept small, with seating limited to 55 guests per evening.

Availability for people who aren’t staying overnight at the Inn is even more limited.

The dining experience costs $305 plus tax per person, with service included. Overnight accommodations are separate.

Add This To Your PEI Fall Bucket List

PEI is already known for incredible seafood, farms and local food, but this experience takes the Island’s fall harvest and turns it into an entire evening.

From chef tastings and food cooked around the fire to seven courses inspired by PEI ingredients, this could be one of the most unique foodie experiences happening on the Island this fall.
